My first day in Spain
I planned Barcelona as a short one-day city break. I walked to the sea for churros with chocolate, continued through Port Vell and used buses to connect the longer parts of my route.
The cable-car panorama and sunset from Bunkers del Carmel became my two favourite moments.
Markets and icons
At La Boqueria I tried ibérico ham among colourful fruit stalls, then visited the unmissable Sagrada Família.
I had worried about pickpockets and watched my belongings carefully. Nothing unpleasant happened, and I found the city easy to navigate.
A city I would revisit
Daytime was warm enough for a T-shirt, while morning and evening were genuinely cold. The full day cost about HUF 50,000, and I would absolutely recommend Barcelona as a solo city break.
